Notes on lighting
For our filming it is essential that we use the correct way of using lighting or otherwise it would ruin the shots and not effective for the audiences. First we had decided to film outside in daylight, this is because even though its a horror trailer we would want to show that our characters are doing their usual things. This is also to show that you can even be haunted in daylight and feel even more unsafe. In the shot the sky was cloudy which gives the surrounding a gloomy feeling and the lighting is not too bright and happy.
The next area we are going to film is at someones house at night which means it would be very dark and barely any lighting. This would make it look effective because we would want to make the house look haunted and trapped. We also did not want much lighting because without any lights on it makes the character looks vulnerable and the paranormal is in the same room with the character. Although we may edit the shot a little bit brighter so the audiences can be able to see what is happening. We are also going to film at a school when its daylight and at night. We are going to film in daylight because it shows part of the story so the audience can understand what it is about and film at night for the same reason. |
