Tagline choices and Justifications
A tagline is very important as it is something that your audience will remember and associate with your movie.
Insidious
|
Sinister
|
The tagline for 'Insidious' (2010) is 'It's not the house that's haunted'. This clearly indicates, that this is a film within the paranormal genre, as it suggests that the boy is haunted/cursed by an unknown spirit or power rather than the house. The tagline also tells you something about the movie as it says that its not the house but it is a character instead.
|
'Once you see him nothing can save you' is the tagline for 'Sinister' (2012). The picture relates to the tagline well as it allows the audience to relate it to the image being shown of a face drawn in what seems to be blood, thus making the audience see him.

Our Tagline Ideas
- Thought your fears would stay online?
- Who will you follow?
Overall, we decided to use the second idea as we felt it fit more with the idea of Facebook and Twitter as you follow people on those social network sites. Our first idea is more general to the internet and not just social network sites which is the focus of our movie.
