Before we start filming our trailer, we planned to make a risk assessment table for those who are acting for our video. We are going to use a risk assessment table to ensure our actors will be unharmed by either allergy or physical injuries. We also wanted to use this so we know any possible dangers that may happen and try to prevent or avoid from these that are listed below.
Make up - Some of our characters are required to have blood on them either if its on their skin or clothes. The blood that we are using may be dangerous if it contacts their eyes or theirs mouths. To avoid any allergies or stains, we are going to use washable fake blood liquid so that its easy to wash off your skin or clothes, avoid places where it may hurt or sting on the person for example their eyes, mouth or cuts, we could ask the characters what they are allergic to so we can avoid any ingredients that would cause any irritation on the body and if we are going to have blood in or near their mouth, we could make edible fake blood which would be safe enough for them to swallow. If someone accidentally swallowed the fake blood and has an allergic reaction, we would immediately call the ambulance.
Time of day - For our trailer we have planned to start filming at night because it would give off a haunting feeling and show that the characters look more vulnerable at night more than at day. This is a part for our risk assessment because since it would be really dark we have to be careful that we are filming somewhere where no one would trip over or bump into something that would be painful. To prevent any injuries we could remove anything that may get in the way such as chairs or not to film where we could slip or trip over for example the stairs or little things on the floor, make sure that there isn't anybody else nearby who may get the wrong idea before we start to film.
Weapon - For our trailer we have used a hammer so it makes it look like we hit the car. The immediate risk is that the weapon is dropped or someone is hit with it. To prevent this we would make sure everyone is at a safe distance from the weapon if it is moving and the person holding it is holding it firmly and carefully. If someone is hurt, depending on the type of injury we would either administer first aid or call for an ambulance.
Carrying someone - For our trailer, in one of the shots James was carrying Tahreem and there is a risk with this. The risk is James dropping Tahreem. To prevent this we chose for James to carry Tahreem as she is very light. This would make carrying her easier. If James dropped Tahreem, we would once again either administer first aid or phone for an ambulance depending on the injury.
